• It has a "silent mode" which is so quiet you can print while you are on the phone. Just be aware that the ink replacement costs more than the printer.

• it is not quiet, when printing out. however when it's scanning it's fairly quiet

• Uses a cartridge of black ink per 75 pages or so. Color photos are very good. Not loud in my opinion
