“How easy is it to see the view screen in bright sunlight? My current camera does not have a view finder, only a screen which is barely visible in bright sunlight. Very hard to set up shots”

This camera does not feature a view finder either; screen can be difficult to see on sunny days. Some folks in my photography group use a cell phone protector on their screen to cut down on glare; others purchased a camera that has a tilt screen (I'm sorry, I do not know what model that is). As to the camera - I just love it!! I do a lot of macro photography with an add on lens and it takes awesome shots. Also wonderful for anything else I point it at all the way to the super moon!

However, I have found that for most of my shots, I just point in the right direction, slightly press the button to get auto focus, and the pictures have turned out great.
