RF lenses will not work on DLSRs. RF lenses are not backwards compatible. They will only work on Canon mirrorless (e.g. R, R6, R5, etc). If you want to attach an EF lens to a mirrorless camera, then you will need an EF-RF adapter.

EF lenses are backwards compatible onto RF cameras using an EF to RF adapter, but the flange distance is too short for RF lenses (e.g. this lens) to be adapted onto EF cameras. Hope this helps
