• No, this lens is designed for the Canon EOS R series cameras (ex: R, RP, R3, R5/R5C, R6, R7, R10, etc). It’ll basically work with any mirrorless camera designed with Canon’s RF mount. The Canon 5D Mark III is designed for EF lenses. If you end up getting RF mount camera later on, you can get an adapter to use the EF lenses with it — unfortunately there’s no way to use a RF lens with a EF mount camera.
