“The video states "brews in seconds". Is this being somewhat optimistic? Certainly this must take at least 3-4 minutes to brew? Is the switch mechanical? Can it be left on and start when it's plugged in? I have plans to use with a Smart outlet & Alexa.”

Yes it takes about a minute to brew and the on button is touchy. It turns on when power is applied to the outlet if left plugged in. Mine is in my boat and there is not always power to that outlet so if I don’t unplug it it turns on on it’s own once there is power.
