“Does this Chromecast turn off the video output so the TV will go to sleep when it goes to sleep? Or does it just turn the TV screen completely black and leave the TV powered on indefinitely when it goes to sleep like the stupid Fire TV does?”

You can configure your Chromecast Voice Remote to control devices like your TV. You can set up the volume, power, and input buttons. Normally, you can configure these buttons when you first set up the Chromecast with Google TV. You can also set them up in Google TV settings. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is controlled by the CEC function on your tv. Once the Chromecast is properly registered through CEC, the power button on the Chromecast remote should turn everything off.
