• Hi there! Depending on your TV model and remote, you may be able to use your existing remote, but we recommend using the Chromecast voice remote for the best experience.

• No. Most TV remotes use IR. This device doesn't have IR receiver. Even it does, it's usually hidden behind TV where IR remote can't reach.
