Chromecast with Google TV works with most TVs, even the old ones as long as it has a port for HDMI input. You can take a look at the following link to know the requirements for Chromecast devices: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7022492
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The chromecast only works with an HDMI jack. You might find a converter gadget online to go from HDMI to another input on your TV like "component (5 RCA plugs)" or "composite (one RCA plug for video and one or two for sound)". That adapter might cost more than the new chromecast itself. The chromecast comes with its own power module which uses a USB-C cable. Some people eliminate extra wires by using an available USB jack on the TV for power, but it is better to use the supplied power module and have it powered up all the time.
