Yes. You can plug in your Chromecast with Google TV to a power strip and as long as it's receiving enough power, it should work fine. Chromecast with Google TV comes with an adapter with an auto-volt input range voltage of 110V - 240V. Any input level within this range should work. We highly recommend connecting your Chromecast directly to a power outlet to avoid any issues, but you can also connect it to the USB port of your TV. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your responses to my questions. My WiFi is strong. I found when I plugged the provided power brick into a decent power strip (rather than attempting to lengthen it with a USB extender cable, which didn't work well), it works just fine with no interruption. Hurray!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There would be no problem using a power strip with this device. The device does require a WiFi signal in order to work properly. A frequent interruption in signal would not provide a good experience. If you are having frequent disconnects, my advice would be to look into ways to boost your WiFi signal, like a better router, or a WiFi repeater/extender.
