• Hi PaulQ, If your TV supports 4K and Atmos then yes it will play the media you cast. Make sure that the content itself is in 4K or uses Atmos as well.

• You don’t need to because they have the HBO Max app available on the new Google TV.

• You can cast anything on your phone to the TV using the chrome browser. Specific apps on your phone that show a "cast" icon will also work. However, you would probably get the best performance by using the apps that are displayed on the chromecast menus rather than using your phone.
