Chromecast with Google TV and fire stick are both used for streaming contents that plug in into the HDMI port of your TV. However, both devices have their own features, requirements and setup processes. You can take a look at the following link to learn more about Chromecast with Google TV: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_google_tv
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a matter of taste. The Amazon products tend to promote their own content over other streaming sources but most of them are similarly available. The additional features that chromecast offers are: 1) You can stream anything you can see on a chrome browser on your TV easily from your phone or PC. 2) If you subscribe to the optional GoogleTV you get additional channels including local ones in your city. You might be able to drop your existing TV service. 3) Great remote. Great 4K and WiFi performance. Lots of streaming free and subscription apps. Less than $50.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a decent amount of overlap. I have a few of the firestick 4k's. The new chromecast is much faster and loads faster. I like the menus a bit more and it is easier to cast from my android phone for YouTube or anything else for that matter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're not going to want the Fire stick after using this. It's got the best of all the media streamers. That said, you could move the Fire stick to another TV.
