Thank you for your question. The RAD 700i does not have an internal battery for charging and must be powered up via the 12V power source. Upon start up, it does briefly display vehicle battery voltage.

Yes it does have it as an option.

No it doesn’t have an internal battery like a cell, it powered by your vehicle battery

You can check charge voltage by going to menu.
