All of our current dash cameras offer a Parking Mode feature. Parking Mode only works properly if the dash cam is powered. If you do not wish to hardwire the camera to a constant power source, then the 12V accessory power port must remain on with the ignition off in order to use Parking Mode. Parking Mode utilizes the built-in Motion Sensor and G-Sensor to monitor your vehicle when it’s parked. While parked, the dash cam is in a “sleeping” state, keeping an eye out for motion or G-Sensor impacts. If either is detected, the unit will wake and begin recording.
