• Yes you can use it for a regular computer. Music keys on the keyboards works great for my spotify.

• This is a normal USB keyboard that works "out of the box" with Windows. I like having dedicated macro keys as well as backlighting. You can control audio; nothing fancy. How this works with music programs depends upon your needs. This is NOT a piano or midi keyboard, just a very decent keyboard for controlling your computer.
