The thing you need to check is what type of memory your laptop needs. There are 2 types of DDR3 memory DDR3 and DDR3L. The difference between the 2 types is the DDR3L is a lower voltage memory which some laptops use. You need to determine which type of memory your laptop now has. It may state on the memory installed in the machine now or you may need to look up the laptop model you have and determine if it requires DDR3 or DDR3L. The two memory types are not compatible, your laptop will need one or the other.
