The motherboard has a 2.5Gbps LAN port. You need to have a switch or router that has at least a 2.5Gbps port to see anything above 1Gbps. My providers modem has one 5Gbps port and with 5Gig Internet I pretty much get the 2.5Gbps on a speed test up and down.
