• Any modern USB charger works fine. To use fast charge potential, it should be a higher wattage USB 3 standard charger/supply.

• I sometimes will charge it like this when I travel. Either wall plug or a battery pack. This way you don't drain your laptop battery.

• Yes, but it may be slower to charge due to some USB hubs offering a lower milliamp rating.
