The BX500 will physically fit in that system, as it is a 2.5" SATA SSD, and the power it supplies to connected drives will be enough for the BX500 to work normally. Depending on the amount of write wear the HomeBase subjects installed drives to, it may not be the ideal solution, however. The 1TB BX500 has a write life expectancy of 360TB before the warranty expires and the physical memory of the drive starts losing its ability to retain data when the SSD is in an unpowered state, so determine if your expected wear and tear will be within this limit to prevent unexpected failure.
