Yes, it is. Use a Startech USB -> SATA cable to clone the existing drive to the new SSD with the Acronis software (available for download @ the Crucial website), shut down laptop, remove battery from laptop, remove bottom cover w/ a jeweler's screwdriver, remove old mechanical hard drive, install new SSD drive, reinstall in laptop, reinstall bottom cover, reinstall the battery. Done.
