“We recently purchased this to replace our DCC-1200. It is difficult to get the pot back onto the plate because it catches on the bottom of the basket. It always requires some maneuvering, unlike our previous model. Is this normal?”

• I just purchased this model of coffee maker from a different retail store, and I don't have any problem sliding the glass carafe back onto the hot plate. Mine does not catch on the bottom of the filter basket.

• Our carafe also hangs up too, but I believe it is because it is a tighter fit than our previous ten cup pot.
