Just remove the metal mesh basket and use the paper cones in the remaining plastic basket. Both the metal and plastic baskets are removable for cleaning but the plastic one is necessary for proper Operation

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's kind of useless to use both, each does an adequate job. If you make a full pot with a double filter the water flows faster than the double filter will allow, causing a backup and grounds quickly flow outside the container. It makes a mess
