The unit is just over 3 months old and the one cup upper pin looks fine but it now it smashes the pod leaving a hole three times as big as it use to. It leaves a mess of grounds around the pin area and grounds are in the fresh made coffee that have to be null

I had the same problem that pin has a small hole in it that gets clogged with coffee grounds if you poke a needle through that hole it will fix the problem!

Contact best buy or cusinart customer support very helpfull mine clogged up you hsve to use a needle where coffee flows through to unclog simple fix great Coffee maker
