Measurement width I can't give you numbers but we use it for grilled cheese sandwiches. You can make four sandwiches at a time. We rarely close the top part over as it seems to stew the meat. It comes out better if you use the bottom grill plate for meats. Super easy to clean.

I do not know but I am pretty sure the size is on the instructions book. I will tell you we put two big Ribeye steaks on one side and have plenty of room
