It lasts about 6-7 years not 3-5 as someone wrote. This is by personal experience.

I will say that in general these batteries are rated to last for 4-5 years with a handful of outages a year. The more frequently you swap to battery power the further the life declines. I have one I purchased back in 2013 that still works flawlessly but I have had others that failed in less than a year due to constant battery use. Unit will notify you when battery is defective. Yes all UPS typically “beep” to let you know that they have activated battery use or a continuous beep if the battery has failed or faulty. You can remove the battery to stop it from beeping but note that it will just operate as a surge protector at that point.

You can silence the sounds if you'd like however you would not hear the warning beep in that case. Instructions to turn off the audible alarm will be in the function set up guide.
