I thought I had same issue because the sticker on the side of the computer had an odd grey "sticker" over part of the numbers. Looking closer I realized that the grey sticker is actually a "scratch off" and your complete windows registration number is there you just need to grab a penny or whaters, scratch it off and there ya go.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The key code for activation is on the side of the pc, there is a little sticker covering a part of it that needs to be removed. If you are talking about the numbers on the back, match the format in the examble they give.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To activate your copy of Windows, you need to select the option to change the product key and enter the code from the sticker on the right side panel of the case. You will need to scratch off the silver coating to reveal the entire product key. Please be careful when scratching off coating so that it does not damage the sticker or scratch off the product key itself.
