I don't think the case is conducive to accessing a drive from the outside. I bought an external Dell DVD drive at Best Buy for $30 on sale and it does everything I need it to do and for as infrequently I need to use it, it's just fine for me.

If the case has not slots for the drives, there is a chance you aren't able to install it. If they do have slots, you should be able to. If not, again, external drives are always an option.
