It is a standard bulb at it's heart so if your motion detector sends and cuts power itself, yes, this will work fine. You can also run the light remotely via the app, so you could turn it on yourself (assuming there is power to it).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can but I wouldn't recommend it. (Unless you really want a smart bulb/multi color bulb for your motion detector lights of course.) Smart lights are meant to be on at all times and have a steady connection to WiFi so you can change the color quickly. If you don't mind that it will take a few minutes of being on to change the color go for it. Just keep in mind that if your motion sensors aren't detecting movement, the light bulb wont be on and therefore, won't have a lot of time to connect to internet for color changing.
