I have been able to resolve this issue with 2 Micro Bars so far. Contact Definitive Technology Support and they will email you some firmware update information. There will be two different firmware update files (one for Micro Bars with an IR port and one for those Bars that don't have an IR port) along with a PDF document detailing how to install the firmware update via a USB thumb drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue. There is a loud shrill, annoying sound when the speaker turns on and it is not very responsive to turning off via remote or unplugging from the outlet. I have not found any answers but plan to call their customer service when open tomorrow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had this issue too. It’s the update . It has a bug in it that corrupts the coding . So like the other guy said. Email them and they will email you the firmware update and you use a usb to install it. It fixed mines. I didn’t update it no more. It works perfect without it. I read a lot of reviews on amazon how once people updated theirs it broke and caused the ringing crazy sound. Only if they knew it was fixable . But yea just install it don’t ever update it again. I owned mines for about 3-4 years. Not one problem . It’s for sure the best thing out there . I’m too lazy to sign into my Best Buy account but I bought this at Best Buy for 500$ on sale!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am having the same issue. Tried replacing the optical cable, turning the soundbar off and on repeatedly. Unplugging from surge protector. Even tried it on a different TV. Nothing has worked for me either. I've had my soundbar just under 3 years and hoping they will still honor the manufacturers warranty. I emailed Definitive Tech but havent received any help as to what my problem could be. I plan on calling the customer service line ASAP.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same issue, tried all possible debugging replacing cables etc. App says the firmware is updated and no updates are required. It seems Definitive Technology has goofed up on its newer firmware auto update.
