Yes. I used it to upload software to my wife's iMac.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It worked seamlessly with a 2017 MacBook Air with USB type-A ports. It did not work with a 2020 MacBook Air with USB-C ports (with either an Apple or third-party adapter). Both computers were running MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It worked for me but only with a powered USB hub in between. If you just hear clicking from the DVD drive, this is because it's not receiving enough power from the Mac's USB port. Adding a powered hub to the mix solves this problem. I've used it to read and burn DVDs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES. It works on my iMac. Easy Plug & Play in seconds without any issues. I am mainly using it to import music CDs into iTunes and it's extremely fast with its 24x reader. I haven't tried burning any discs yet but i am guessing it should be fine. I have owned a few of these external Disc drives in the past and I have to say this Dell drive seems to be built better than others and is more powerful. Though keep in mind you still have to be delicate handling these external disc drives especially the disc tray.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just purchased this today (1-6-21). It worked with my iMac to read some files and copy them to the Hard Drive. The Dell external player opened up when I pressed the button but I couldn't get it to open back up later. I plugged it into a windows laptop and it opened then.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With mac os NO, but it will work on Mac with windows os.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the external DVD drive is not compatible with Mac.
