Will this work on the latest gaming laptops? null

It works well with my Dell, HP, and Asus laptops. All of them are i5 and i7 with 8 gb memory. I imagine your gaming laptop is even better. I also noticed it read faster than the onboard DVD rom in my desktop when I attached it to that. If that helps.

Yes, however, it does not play Blue ray discs.
