• After going to BB and checking myself, the case is plastic. Ignore the bubba who said aluminum.

• Unless it states otherwise anywhere, almost all laptops are constructed with a plastic case, although the kind and origin of the plastic may differ. This is because plastic is still relatively cheap, and strong for its weight.
