• You can, or use the touchpad. But since you are basically paying for a feature that you don't want, you might consider a cheaper laptop without a touch screen.

• Yes. I use a cordless Logistec USB connected mouse and it works perfectly. You can adjust the mouse settings in the "Settings" of the computer.
