“Specs say Windows 11 Home. Box says Windows S. Which is it?”

Just bought yesterday and have been trying for 6 hours to remove S mode. Store won't let me, work arounds are futile, unreal this cant be simply removed. Updated all apps as well still cannot remove S mode to simply put on Chrome
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This laptop has Windows 11 Home but is set to S mode. You can switch out of S Mode for Windows 11 Home but this switch is a one-way switch. Once you switch out, you will not be able to go back to S Mode.

Windows Home is available fully enabled or restricted to S Mode (Professional is never sold in S Mode). This one is Home in S Mode. Contrary to what EVERYONE tells you, you can switch back to S Mode. There are at least two ways I know of. One involves a complete reset and totally erases your hard drive, so it is not recommended. The other involves delicate programming configurations, including adjustments to the Registry, so is not as drastic, but only recommended for someone comfortable with making these changes.
