- Answer Yes. Mine came with 1 ddr4 sodimm 8g ram, but had 2 slots. It was as simple as buying it, unscrewing around 8 screws, then installing it. 10 minutes tops.

- Answer For most applications, yes. Out of the box, any web based programs and 80% of downloadable programs will be no problem. If you need more speed for video/photo editing or 3d rendering you can add 8gb of ram for around 20$.
