“I've had this for about a week and the center area of the keyboard gets hot from simply browsing the internet or downloading small files. Is this normal? I have it on a hard flat surface.”

It’s not uncommon for laptops to heat up slightly, especially in the center area of the keyboard, as this is where many of the internal components like the CPU, GPU, and storage are located. However, the level of heat you’re describing might be worth looking into.
