I replaced the SSD with the Samsung 2tb NVMe SSD. The cloning process succeeded without a hitch and is working well and I kept the original SSD in case something happens. The optane memory is built-in with the Intel SSD. There's only one SSD slot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Intel Optane memory is built-in in the SSD drive. You can change the SSD yourself using an NVME Gen 3 SSD. Just take out the screws under the laptop, there are no hidden ones like other laptops. I just ordered the Samsung 970 Plus 2tb NVME SSD and will be replacing it. As far as the warranty goes it might be affected. Just put back the original SSD when something goes wrong and it might work again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The memory is soldered on so you can't change the memory. The SSD however is changeable. I don't know which type of SSD to use though. Also changing the SSD would probably void the warranty, just a warning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We suggest you to not do any third party or non-Dell aftermarket upgrade, as that can void the system’s warranty. We suggest you to contact the Dell Technical support team regarding this query.
