The grills on the bottom of the S3222DGM monitor are air vents. This monitor does not have built ins speakers. This monitor haws a Headphone out port. to connect an audio output device.

I changed the name of the Nvidia High Definition audio, deleting the reference to S3222DGM.  Makes more sense now.  But what are those grilles?

No speakers inside monitor. I assumed it did. I ended up just hooking up to vizio sound bar with sub. Sounds great.
