Yes, any monitor can be used with Windows 8 or any version of Windows. The question you have to ask yourself is, does the type of port on your computer match the ones available on the monitor. If not you may have to get an adaptor. Most monitors are now coming with HDMI and VGA. If yours only has a Display port or DVI port, you will need an adaptor.
