• The Dell monitor has both VGA and HDMI inputs. In your case a VGA-VGA cable should work ok. I believe that if you were to go the VGA-HDMI method, you would need an additional interface box to convert the signals.

• The monitor has 2 inputs. Parallel vga and hdmi. The new ones come with an hdmi cable. Mine did but some reviews say a vga cable comes with it. Either input works with the tight cable.
