• It comes with a magnetic cartridge installed in a universal headshell which makes upgrading cartridges straightforward. You would have to check with the retailers to see if they will offer an upgrade preinstalled.

• Yes, any cartridge which fits a universal headshell will fit (obviously you will need to reset the counterbalance and anti-skate). You will have to ask your retailer if they can provide an upgraded Cartridge pre installed.

• Upgraded cartridges can be purchased separately. https://www.denon.com/en-us/product/turntables/dl-103 You may also want to consider our DP-400 TT as it comes with an upgraded cartridge (DSN-85) and upgraded tone arm.
