• It is a Denon branded magnetic cartridge with a spherical diamond needle tip and a recommended tracking pressure of 2-3 grams. I have read speculation that it is manufactured for Denon by AudioTechnica and is a variation of one of their lines that is widely respected as enjoyably musical at a very reasonable price. It is easily upgradeable to an elliptical diamond tip - If you keep your records in good condition you may appreciate some extra detail in the music through good speakers.
