• RCA connections are on the back. Has a pre amp built in, so can wire to powered speakers, or receiver/amplifier.

• Hello Ken. The DP-400 has it's own (selectable) phono pre-amp built-in, but as it does not have a built-in amplifier it can be connected using the supplied pair of 39" stereo RCA cables fed to either powered/active speakers, or an integrated amplifier and passive speakers.
