Believe it goes left and right as well, just like other MAVIC products. Hold your finger in the middle of the screen and drag it left or right and the camera turns on my Mavic 2 Zoom

Please try again later.The gimbal is controlled by a wheel on the left hand side of the controller for up and down motion )and I think it can be programmed to another input device if desired). Or if using a tracking mode the gimbal moves in all directions to track a target independent of the drone body (up to a point).
