MAVIC 2 review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drone is a beast in the sky. With a top speed of 44 miles per hour, it's not just for leisurely flights but can capture fast-paced action. The obstacle avoidance sensors are a lifesaver, preventing me from unintentional crashes. The battery life is decent, providing around 30 minutes of flight time, which is perfect for capturing breathtaking views without rushing. Although this drone isn’t as best as the newer drones, it does its job.

Best drone yet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best drone! Battery is better than last model. Easy to connect. Love the auto-fly features, especially the come back home so I can lose it. Would highly recommend for pros and amateurs. Amazing 4K quality photos and videos.

Excellent first drone
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off with mentioning that prior to purchasing this, I’d never bought anything more expensive than a 30$ micro drone. Despite the price, the Mavic Air 2 is infinitely easier to fly - with more bells and whistles than your cheapo micro drones! The remote controller feels really intuitive to use, and feels nice to hold. You don’t need to worry about unfolding or properly aiming antennas since they’re built into the controller and phone holder. I’m amazed on the reported range on this thing - on the 2nd day of owning the drone I had it flying a mile away from my house, and that’s not even close to the max transmission range it is capable of. The return to home (RTH) feature works like a charm, and returns the drones to the exact position I took off from - simply amazing. 4K video from a small portable device like this is amazing, and the 48mp camera takes outstanding pictures. I’m not any sort of a photography professional, but I’ve already had friends ask me how I edit my photos after pulling the raw files directly off and posting them. Battery time lines up pretty close to the stated ~34m flight time, depending on conditions and use. And the interface of the DJI fly app makes it easy to tell when you’re getting low and will auto RTH if needed. Batteries cost 115$ each, which makes the Fly More Combo immediately worth the extra $189 as you get two batteries and additional accessories along with it. I honestly couldn’t have imagined my first real drone experience going any smoother and enjoyable than it has since owning the Mavic Air 2!

Incredible, Incredible, INCREDIBLE!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW!! This is my 1st Drone and I absolutely love it!! Very responsive and looks super cool in hand and while flying through the air. The 1st time I flew it was after I charged up the batteries and controller. It was night time so I was a little hesitant but excited at the same time. When I turned the Drone and controller on, these lights on the Drone came on. When I took to the air it looked like an airplane with lights on the corners of the Drone. There was even a bright light on the underside that illuminated it's take off/landing spot. I took it up pretty high and if I was a neighbor I would have thought it was a small UFO. This beautiful craft was very responsive and pretty easy to fly. I took it to the park the next day and really tested it. I took this thing so high into the air I almost lost sight of it, sane thing when I flew it over a large pond to the other side to film some Geese that were in the water. I was soooo scared to do that because I kept thinking "what if it drops into the water?". Great thing is it didn't. Not only did I flw over to the other side, I also descended just a few feet over the water to get some really good video 9f the Geese. After flying about 25 minutes or so, I got a verbal warning that my battery was getting low and the Drone would be returning home. I bought the fly more bundle so I got extra batteries, propellers, filters, carrying bag and a few other extras. I would say it's well worth the price. One thing I also noticed is, the 1st time I turned it on and flew it was in my house. Because of the sensors, it wouldn't let me fly too much. The sensors were going crazy alerting me to possible collisions. I guess my living room isn't big enough lol. So far I'm EXTREMELY impressed with this Drone. It feels like a professional piece of equipment. There are tutorial videos u can watch to teach you everything about your new "Big Boy Toy". I absolutely love this Drone and can't wait until I master all the incredible features. Great Job!!

Incredible.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Perfect is not an exaggeration here. I constantly tell people that it's the best thousand bucks I've ever spent. You can't possibly know how much fun you'll have with this thing unless you've owned a drone before. The camera quality is simply stunning and I attached a screenshot of unedited footage as an example. The only drawback for me is that it doesn't have obstacle avoidance sensors on the top and the sides like the Mavic Pro II, but the Pro II is also 700 more dollars. So if that's what I have to give up to save 700 bucks, then so be it. I will stress one thing, make SURE to get some kind of insurance coverage for it. Because there's nothing that feels quite like watching a thousand bucks fly off into the sunset never to be seen again. For the record, that was due to pilot error and happened with the original Mavic Air, not the Air 2, but I digress. Buy the DJI care refresh package as well, your future self will thank you for it. And I also bought a State Farm policy for the whole year for just 60 bucks. That protects me against loss or theft which the DJI plan does not. Now dig out those 10 or 11 Benjamins and go have some fun!

Great Drone
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have -0- drone experience and after a lot of YouTube research, I pulled the trigger on this preorder. It arrived earlier than the release date, which was awesome! With the person tracking, obstacle avoidance and warning sounds, this thing has all the protections needed for where I am flying. Getting the FAA/Drone ID and Airspace authorizations in my area (near small airports) has been easy, making this an even better experience. My 10 year old also has no issues controlling the drone, whether on the street or in a field. Actually, I'm the slow one when it comes to control. The bag that the Fly More package comes with, is a bit snug for my liking, so I picked up a hard shell case - but people have been pretty critical, as "they say" this is supposed to be a compact, unobtrusive, easy to bring with you drone - but as my first, it doesn't matter to me. Each battery is almost an hour and a half to charge when run down to nothing, but I typically run it to 15%, or when the auto-return-to-home happens. I haven't timed it, but I do get around a half an hour per battery and with 3 ... lots of time to fly. The features are great - it can do lots of cool stunts that makes it seem like you're an amazing pilot. I was using a Pixel 4XL as a dedicated phone (no phone service) to interact with it and I haven't had any issues. I've also picked up a helipad for landing / take-off, especially when the grass is higher and it's been a great addition. Finally, I used the DJI Refresh care and tied it to my account as soon as I activated the drone. I found the offering here a bit ... pricey. We've had lots of great hours with this already and I can't wait for more!

Q: QuestionDo the filters even really matter on this drone?
Asked by Crankycorey.
- A:Answer ND filters can matter on almost any camera drone, especially for video capture. The Air 2 has a fixed aperture, meaning you can only adjust shutter speed to limit how much light hits the sensor. Rule of thumb is to set your shutter speed to twice your frame rate ( 30 fps -> 1/60 shutter, 60 fps -> 1/120 shutter, etc ). On sunny days a 1/60 or 1/120 shutter is often too slow and will overexpose the capture, even if using ISO 100. Shooting video with a very fast shutter makes it look choppy and artificial. The ND filters cut down the light entering the lens, giving you more flexibility in setting your capture parameters. The filters are helpful for still photography when you are shooting REALLY bright scenes ( sunrises/sunsets ) or if you need a long exposure for a particular effect.

Q: QuestionDJI offers a crash and damage replacement warranty for 79.00 - the only warranty I see here is GS for 2yr 350.00 Is the DJI warranty not available if bought through BB?
Asked by Osker.
- A:Answer I was wondering the same thing! I contacted DJI via live chat and they advised that you can purchase the DJI Care via their website for $79 within 48 hours of powering on your drone. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionHow long does the battery last? Is iPhone 7 Plus compatible and will it fit in the holder? Who makes the lens? Thank you!
Asked by Bee.
- A:Answer Each battery lasts about 30 minutes depending on flight conditions. I realistically get about 28 minutes of flight- which is plenty for my use. When you get the fly more bundle, you should easily be able to get 1 hour and 30 minutes of flight time. Yes, it fits my Galaxy Note 10+ with a thick case so it should be able to fit your iPhone with no problems. I'm not sure who the manufacturer of the lense is but the camera is extremely clear and crisp.
