• You may want to attach a higher end mic for that type of recording. I've used mine for loud parties and gatherings and um always impressed by the sound quality. But I don't think it will be able to hold that quality for live music concerts.

• Don’t know it does have good sound but picks up all sounds around I would get the external mike adapter and attach a small directional mike to it. Has sound control features.
