“In photo mode ie taking pics. If I turn it on will it stay on and not go to sleep like most digital cameras? If it does go to sleep how fast will it re start or wake up? When spotting a black bear in the woods u only get a second or two to take a pic”

• Not sure about the sleep function, but starting it up takes literally 3 seconds.

• You can set a timer for how long the unit will stay on until it auto powers off after inactivity
