This is used to connect a display port from your computers graphics card into a monitor or TV with HDMI connection. This is not for USB in any way.

No, this will not work. I'm trying to reconnect my Wii with a USB port to a HDMI TV. The GeekSquad at Best Buy told me to go online for a USB to HDMI converter Adapter which is NOT available at Best Buy.
