“I am trying to display my computer screen (Microsoft Surface Book) on my TV. I have an HDMI cord. Is the other end of this adaptor a USB? I am looking for a USB to plug into my computer.”

This DisplayPort adapter does not have any USB on it. If you need a USB to HDMI I would reccomend a USB to HDMI adapter. That way you can plug in the USB end to the computer then plug your HDMI wire into the adapter. Example TV--> (HDMI male to male wire that you already have) to HDMI to USB adapter ---> USB end goes into your Microsoft Surface Book. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is not in any shape a usb. It is a displayport to hdmi. I would take a guess and say you need a usb to hdmi cord/adapter you can get either. I just tend to get adapters cause I always have hdmi cords running around. Up to you, hope this helps.
