• No it will not, a display port is not the same as usb. Interface for the port is different.

• No this will not convert USB. "Display Port" is a different connection from "USB". This is strictly a "display port" and hdmi converter. I use it to convert my desktop computer's display port output to my monitor's hdmi input.
