• This is a separate complement piece to be used with the Dyson Airwrap Styler. Yes you do need the bottom part in order to use it.

• Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. This is just for the Small Round Volumizing Brush attachment for the Dyson Airwrap; if you do not already own the Airwrap, you would need to purchase a kit containing that main body wand. The Airwrap is not a dual-voltage item, and is only intended for use in the country where purchased. Use of an adaptor or converter can damage the machine. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
